| | | TECH CORPS Illinois , a national nonprofit organization committed
to enhancing K-12 education through the effective use of technology,
recruits tech-literate volunteers from the community, to assist educators
and students with their technology needs. Why? Because too many young
people are entering the work force without the technology skills needed to
succeed. Simply put, the knowledge so many use daily can be shared,
strengthening the future of our community and our nation.
		  		       TECH CORPS Illinois volunteers can
assist educators and students in a number of ways:

		  			Career Mentoring
		  			Client / Workstation Troubleshooting
		  			Computer Clubs (after-school or lunchtime)
		  			Hardware Troubleshooting / Consultation
		  			Internet / WWW
		  			Intranet Development / Support
		  			Network Troubleshooting / Consultation
		  			Online Mentoring
		  			Internet Peripherial Assistance (digital cameras,
		  			scanners)
		  			Programming
		  			Software Applications Training
Web Page Design Volunteers are matched with the right school settings, according to
their background and wishes in combination with the school needs.
Volunteers assist throughout the school the school year (September through
May) and give as much time as their schedules allow. During school hours,
after school hours, daily, weekly or monthly -- it is up to the
		  		      volunteer. |
